Located in an area surrounded by the Boise National Forest on the banks of  South Fork of the Boise River.  South of the small town of Featherville, Idaho in Elmore County, this mountain community was originally settled in the 1860’s as a stage stop for the mining camp of Rocky Bar. Featherville and nearby Pine, Idaho are popular tourist destinations for recreation.
